The Binge and Body Freedom Project

Welcome to the Binge and Body Freedom Project, a space where we embark on a journey to break free from emotional and binge eating. Together, we’ll explore how to feel lighter and more comfortable in our bodies while cultivating embodied confidence, allowing us to live freely, fully, and authentically.

If you've tried everything and nothing sticks, it might be because you're missing the third option

If you feel like your only options around food and self-care are:

Pushing yourself to diet and stay in control, or

letting go and spiralling into overeating or burnout

I want you to know something important:
There’s a third way.

A different path.
A quieter, deeper, wiser path.

It’s about coming home to your body, not as a problem to solve or a project to fix, but as something you care for.
Like a beloved pet, with love, patience, flexibility, and deep attention.

Not from rebellion.
Not from punishment.
But from love.

You might feel confused about this and disconnected from your body.

This isn’t your fault.

Honestly, most of us were never taught how to live in our bodies with trust and care. So if you’ve felt lost, that makes complete sense.

Let me gently walk you through a few things that may have shaped your relationship with your body:

You were taught to ignore your body’s signals.
Maybe crying was called “too sensitive,” or you were expected to eat by the clock,  not by hunger. That can make you feel like your body isn’t trustworthy.

You were taught that your body is about looks.
Instead of being seen as alive and wise, your body became a thing to shape, shrink, and criticize, depending on what culture calls “beautiful” at the time.

You’ve had to override your needs to survive.
Exhausted? You push through. Wired? You pour a glass of wine. Hungry? You wait for the “right” time. It’s exhausting, and it disconnects you from your natural rhythm.

You’ve tied your worth to your weight.
When the number goes down, maybe you feel proud. When it goes up, maybe you feel shame. That creates an inner stress that takes a real toll on your energy and self-trust.

You might feel guilty for resting or enjoying food.
Pleasure and rest become “rewards” instead of essentials. But joy, play, and relaxation? They are critical for your metabolism, mood, and nervous system.

Life isn’t set up for real balance.
You need nature. You need dance, rhythm, breath, connection. But society rewards hustle over wholeness.

You might not feel safe trusting your body.
You might think: "Once I lose the weight, then I’ll start caring for my body".

But actually… it works the other way around.

When your body feels cared for, it begins to soften, shift, and recalibrate on its own.

You might fear that if you listen to your body, you’ll lose control.

You might worry: If I stop controlling, I’ll eat everything.

But those urges?

They’re survival responses, your body’s intelligent way of helping you cope and regulate or numb when it’s overwhelmed.

Your body is wise and powerful.
It’s not just a shell for your thoughts.

She's (He's/they are) a living, sensing, communicating being, with layers of wisdom that even science is still learning how to understand.

You might think: "Great ideas, but… I still want to lose weight.”

If part of you still hopes to lose weight, I get it, I hear this all the time from my clients.

You don’t have to reject your wish to lose weight, just get curious about what’s beneath it.

Is it freedom? Confidence? Rest from the inner war?
Those things are not found on the scale;  they’re found in your relationship with yourself.

What if… weight loss isn’t something you have to chase?
What if it becomes a byproduct of deeper healing, nervous system regulation, and consistent care?

This third way is not about letting go and doing “nothing.”
It’s about stepping into a completely new relationship with yourself.

So what is this third way?

It’s not about dieting.
It’s not about losing control.

It’s about learning to live with your body, not against it.

Here’s what that might look like:

  • Rebuilding trust between your body and your mind
  • Letting your nervous system settle so you’re not running on survival
  • Creating a gentle structure that supports your unique rhythms
  • Meeting your needs with kindness instead of criticism
  • Making room for rest, pleasure, and joy, as essential nourishment

This is how your body finds balance.
This is how you begin to feel steady, energized, and like yourself again.

Yes, sometimes that means releasing weight.
But more often, it means releasing shame, exhaustion, and the inner war.
